
1. What is driving the growth since launching 9 months ago and why are you different from other providers in the insurance market?
Clients are increasingly seeking partners who offer not just expertise, but also agility, innovation, diversification and collaboration—qualities that define the approach of the QuestGates group.
I am immensely proud of our achievements in such a short space of time.
QGLaw has grown to over thirty people and eleven service areas within 9 months of operation as part of phase 1 of a very clear plan that we are delighted to have executed on.
The response from clients has been incredible.
Our growth has been driven by our unique positioning as both a stand-alone law firm but more significantly as an integrated part of the wider QuestGates group.
QGLaw’s unwavering commitment to a people-first approach, focusses on ensuring that our people feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. We have been able to attract leaders from their respective fields of expertise and knit them together in a culture and dynamic that is making the key difference.
By also combining technical excellence with a growth mindset, we are seeking to deliver legal solutions on a bespoke basis which anticipate and solve client challenges as well as enhancing the services QuestGates offers to its clients as part of a diversification plan.
Underpinning all this is our leading and agile case management system and own innovation hub which enables us to remain focussed on our promise of service excellence and with visibility through intuitive insightful data.
My focus is on continuous improvement and embedding positive accountability into every aspect of our work. If we move forward together and as an integral part of the exciting group plan, I believe that our success and leading client service will follow.
2. How does being part of the QuestGates group benefit clients?
QuestGates has wonderful relations with its clients. One of the profound things that struck me early on in my tenure is how clients often see QuestGates as strategic partners rather than just suppliers.
The fact that the Group now has a legal service to offer as part of its ongoing diversification plan means that collaborations are further enhanced and the law firm also benefits from the infrastructure, business agility and existing market strength of the Group.
While many legal service providers in the insurance sector rely on traditional and transactional approaches, we focus on how we can leverage the legally enhanced solution often as part of BAU for the Group to change operating models for our clients. Recoveries and fraud are prime examples of how we have been able to achieve this. Here we are advancing from the traditional route by leveraging the badge of the law firm, bringing client solutions to a forethought in the claims cycle and enhancing what the Group offers as part of a complete holistic solution.
By embedding in the wider group as an integral part of its wider enhanced offering, we connect people, service and systems as one supplier and close the disconnect that typically exists through multiple suppliers.
3. How is the market reacting to your expansion?
The response to our expansion has been overwhelmingly positive, perhaps reflecting a timely demand for a fresh approach in the insurance and legal markets. Not only is the legal landscape shifting, with businesses seeking more dynamic, forward-thinking legal partners, but being part of the Group is an exciting and unique angle for differentiation and growth.
By way of example the subrogation solution we are offering with an emphasis on “insightful recovery forethought” and the benefits of the “agency model”, truly differentiates us and is described by clients as game changing.
4. What excites you most about the future?
What excites me most is the opportunity to redefine what both legal and group services and relationships can look like in the insurance market.
I am passionate about fostering a culture where colleagues can thrive, where clients feel genuinely supported, and where innovation drives better outcomes for everyone. Our growth mindset and determination to achieve excellence fuels our ambition to continuously improve, adapt, and set new industry standards.
As we expand, we look forward to deepening our client relationships, investing in cutting-edge technology to drive excellence and developing new ways to deliver value beyond services.
Notwithstanding the development of technology, I believe that legal services can be both highly technical and deeply human. The future presents endless opportunities, and we are eager to continue shaping the next chapter of our growth with bold ideas and meaningful innovation.
5. What is next on the horizon?
The next phase of our journey will focus on strategic, sustainable growth—expanding our teams and capability, strengthening our expertise, and enhancing our service offerings in areas core or adjacent to the Group.
We are committed to deepening our relationships with clients, providing them with even greater value through tailored, forward-thinking solutions.
Investment in technology will play a key role in streamlining processes, improving efficiencies, and ensuring we remain at the forefront of the evolving legal landscape however strong meaningful relationships with our clients based on trust and delivering what we promise should never ,and will not, be taken for granted.
We will continue to nurture a culture of positive accountability, empowering our people to develop, innovate, and drive change in the industry.
Looking ahead, I see opportunities to expand our offering into more specialist and niche areas which will both complement the Group and create new opportunities for growth. The journey so far has been incredibly rewarding, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead as we continue to push boundaries and dare to be different.
